Waymeyer

John C. Waymeyer, born on February 18, 1851, in Davis County, Indiana, is a successful merchant with a flourishing trade. The son of German immigrants, he began his career as a clerk and later worked in a sawmill before serving as sheriff of Carter County for six years. He eventually bought a store and established his own business. A Republican in politics, he holds influence in the county, is involved in local initiatives, and resides with his wife Sarah and their two surviving children.
