Biographical Sketch of David Stockwell

David Stockwell, born in 1748 in Sutton, Massachusetts, moved to Croydon in 1772. A dedicated farmer and an honorable soldier in the Revolutionary War, he passed away on July 16, 1824. His descendants, all bearing the Stockwell name, trace their lineage back to him. Notably, his grandson, Stillman Stockwell, later relocated to the West, achieving success as a prosperous farmer.
