Beth Krause Miller Spikes, born June 30, 1912, in McLaughlin, S.D., passed away on May 29, 2004, at her Elgin home. She had three marriages, first to Stub Krause in 1936, then to Francis Miller in 1974, and finally to Lloyd Spikes in 1997. A prominent community member, Mrs. Spikes was involved in numerous organizations and activities, including serving as Grand Marshall of the Elgin Stampede. She is survived by her husband, children, step-children, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
