Singletary

Dr. William C. Singletary, born in 1829 in Bladen County, North Carolina, dedicated his life to medicine, achieving both recognition and success. He trained under Dr. Joseph Powell and began his practice in North Carolina before moving to Arkansas. A Confederate Army assistant surgeon during the Civil War, he returned to practice after the war and became a respected physician in Boone County. He had multiple marriages and children, was active in his community, and passed away on May 2, 1894.
