The series contains original affidavits of registration that record personal information about each registrant, their photograph affixed to the majority of documents, and the registrants fingerprints. All of these are specific to Kansas, and most have the actual documents attached.
Deveron Willis Schreiner, 38, of La Grande, passed away unexpectedly in Pendleton. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. at Loveland Funeral Chapel, followed by burial at Island City Cemetery. Oscar Ernest Fowler, 92, also from La Grande, died on June 26 at a care center. His funeral will be held Thursday at Island City Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
