Rittel

Joseph Rittel, born on July 10, 1828, in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, learned carpentry before transitioning to merchandising after moving to Nebraska in 1874. He established a successful business, Rittel Laudeman, in St. Edward, alongside his son-in-law, Peter Laudeman. A dedicated member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Rittel has been influential in his community. He married Susanna Gard in 1850, and they have one daughter, Agnes. The firm maintains a significant inventory and enjoys a thriving trade.
