E. Haskell Paige

Corporal E. Haskell Paige, of Company H, 30th Division, 120th Regiment Infantry, was born in Halifax County to T. P. and Mrs. T. P. Paige, and was married to Beatrice Paige. He enlisted on July 25, 1917, in Rosemary, N.C., and underwent training at several camps before deploying to France on May 12, 1918. Paige participated in the Battle of Bellicourt, where he sustained an arm injury and was gassed. He returned to the U.S. on April 12, 1919, and was mustered out on April 21.
