Biographical Sketch of C. A. Oblinger

C. A. Oblinger, a grocer and confectioner in Albion since August 1880, built the Commercial Hotel and established his business in July 1881. Originally from Montgomery County, Ohio, he was born in 1847 and began his career in retail under his father’s guidance. After moving to Nebraska in 1875, he engaged in farming and stock-raising. Oblinger married Maggie Hetzler in 1871, and they have two children, Elmer and Maud. His business carries a stock valued at $1,500.
