William R. Morefield’s funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Piper Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wade LeRoy officiating. He will be laid to rest at Tacoma Cemetery. Anna Marie Morefield, 29, passed away on December 2, 1920, after a year-long battle with tuberculosis at her mother’s home in Sunnyside Addition. Born on March 2, 1891, near Ellensburg, she had lived in Kittitas Valley her entire life. She was married to W. R. Morefield and is survived by two sons, her mother Catharine, and four brothers. After being treated at Mt. View Sanitarium, her health deteriorated, leading to her return home. Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church.
