Soon after World War 1 localities across the country wished to honor the men and women who had served the Nation from their locality. St. Charles County, Missouri, is one of these counties. This manuscript isn’t limited to just the men who fought overseas, it also includes the women who had participated via Red Cross and the men who had actively served in the various campaigns backing the War here at home.

Biography of Edward Mallinckrodt

A native of St. Louis, born January 21, 1845, son of Emil and Eleanore Didier (Luckie) Mallinckrodt. He received his early education in public and private schools followed by four years of training in scientific and practical chemistry in Germany. On his return in September, 1867, he formed a partnership with an older and a younger brother under the firm name of G.
