Biography of L. A. Lollar

L. A. Lollar, born in Tennessee in 1829, moved to Hopkins County in 1849 and married Mary Veal in 1854. They had eight children, of whom five survive. Lollar established a successful mercantile business in 1855, demonstrating resilience despite personal losses. Known for his generosity and integrity, he never engaged in public religion or secret societies. Before his death, he arranged his affairs and imparted final advice to his family. Lollar is remembered as a pioneering citizen, respected for his upright character and contributions to the community.
