Biography of Walter Lambert, M.D.
Walter Lambert, M.D., born on April 10, 1832, in Niagara, Ontario, was a distinguished mayor and leading physician in Amherstburg. After studying under Dr. Theophilus Mack and graduating from Trinity College in 1856, he practiced medicine in Amherstburg for nearly twenty-four years. Lambert held prominent roles in the Western and St. Clair Medical Association and was actively involved in educational initiatives, serving on the school board and as chair. Married to Elizabeth Clement in 1858, they had one son and faced the loss of a daughter.
