Biographical Sketch of George. W. Hill Jr.
George W. Hill Jr. was born on March 11, 1843, in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. He moved with his family from Virginia in 1855 and helped on his father’s farm while pursuing education. On August 26, 1868, he married Ada Leonard, with whom he had two children, William L. and Fondie A. Since then, Hill has successfully farmed independently and now owns a well-improved farm near Jamesport, specializing in sheep and livestock.
