Goodland

Hon. Walter S. Goodland served as the mayor of Racine for four years, leaving a legacy of significant city improvements. Born on December 22, 1862, in Sharon, Wisconsin, he pursued careers in law and journalism, founding several newspapers, including the Times-Call in Racine. Educated in Appleton, he was admitted to the bar in 1886 and held various public offices, including district attorney and judge. A Democrat with strong community ties, Goodland is respected for his integrity and commitment to public welfare.
