Girod

Louis N. Girod, born August 24, 1859, in Hopkins County, Kentucky, is a dedicated teacher and member of the Christian Church. The son of John Girod, a French merchant, and Sarah K. Coffman, he attended public school before clerking and studying under Professor Bramham in Hopkinsville. Girod pursued further education at the Agricultural and Mechanical College in Lexington, teaching successfully in Kirkmansville High School. He married Nannie H. Dean in 1880, and they have one daughter, Hazel Deane.
