(II) Clark, son of Amos Galusha, was born in Otsego county, October 11, 1824. Reared in a sparsely settled community his education was confined to the limited advantages afforded by the public school system then in vogue in the rural districts, but he made good use of his opportunities for study and became a man of considerable learning.
