French

Frank J. French, born on March 30, 1855, in Gilmanton, N.H., is a prominent dairy farmer in Northfield. He is the son of Sylvester F. and Mercy E. French. After receiving his education and working at the Eagle Hotel, he managed his father’s farm before becoming an overseer at the New Hampshire State Prison. In 1881, he purchased a 125-acre farm, focusing on dairy production. Married to Nettie Munsey in 1879, they have a son, Harold. An active Mason, French is also involved in local community organizations.
