Biography of Beverly B. Evetts
Beverly B. Evetts, born on April 2, 1847, in Smith County, Tennessee, was an influential farmer and community leader in Arkansas. After his family settled in Stone County, he contributed significantly to transforming their woodland property into a thriving farm. Evetts served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, after which he took over the family’s farm and managed it successfully. He held various public offices, including constable and county sheriff, and was an active member of the local fraternal organizations, while remaining a dedicated Democrat throughout his life.
