George Spracklin, born in 1814 in Somerset, England, settled in Dudley Township, Ohio, before marrying Arloa Turner Minor in 1840. The couple later moved to Illinois, where George acquired significant landholdings. Following Arloa’s death in 1892, George passed away in 1902, leaving behind an estate that included properties in Edwards and Shelby Counties. He and Arloa had several children, whose descendants are documented in the genealogical records, along with details of George’s estate settlement and personal belongings at his death.
