DeBorde

Thomas Jefferson DeBorde, an early settler of Cove, Oregon, passed away on April 17, 1919, at the age of 77. Born on April 22, 1841, in Wisconsin, he married Sarah J. Franklin in 1865 and fathered twelve children, seven of whom survived him. DeBorde, a pioneer who traveled across the plains with his family, lived in Baker County before settling in Cove. His funeral, held on April 20, 1919, was attended by many family and friends, reflecting his impactful life in the Oregon Country.
