The Rotary Club of Randleman compiled a History of Randleman in 1944. The History, together with a reprint of “The Story of Naomi Wise” and “Reminiscences of Randolph County” was published in the interest of preserving the early life of Randolph County, and as a club project. Sent to Camp Sevier, S. C. Transferred to Camp Mills. Sailed for France May 11, 1918. Fought at Ypres, Belgian Sector, from July 4th to Sept. 7th, Front Line Trenches four days, Hindenburg Line, Montbrehain Sector, from Sept. 23rd, to Oct. 10th. Returned to USA March 27, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Jackson, March 31, 1919.
