Buie

William E. Buie, born on May 14, 1847, in Missouri, is the son of John and Susan Buie. Starting his career in 1866 with modest means, he worked for eight years before improving his own farm, which has become one of the finest in northern Logan County. Buie owns 883 acres of land, employs numerous workers, and has achieved notable success in logging and farming. He married Delila E. McPherson in 1872, and they have four children. Mrs. Buie is affiliated with the Baptist Church.
