Biography of Lieut-Col. Thomas Bog, J.P.

Lieut-Col. Thomas Joshua Pelton Bog, born in Montreal on November 26, 1826, served as deputy registrar in Picton, where he resided for 38 years. He started his career in mercantile business before transitioning to a storage and forwarding merchant. A prominent community member, he raised the first volunteer company for the 16th battalion, reaching the rank of Major and later Lieut-Colonel. Involved in local governance and education, he married Adelaide Hubbs in 1858 and had two sons, Edward and William.
