Averett

Norna Marie Averett, 77, of Portland, passed away on August 23, 2004. A memorial service will be held on August 28 at Gateway Baptist Church, with a graveside service in Haines to be announced later. Born on May 9, 1933, in Haines, she was a beautician and married Donald Averett in 1954. The couple relocated to Portland in 1958. Norna was active in her community, volunteering for Camp Fire Inc. and 4-H. She is survived by her husband, children, sisters, and ten grandchildren.
