Biography of Judge Matthew K. Arnyx

Judge Matthew K. Arnyx hails from a lineage of Irish descent, tracing his family’s roots back to Ireland before settling in America before the Revolutionary War. His paternal great-grandfather fought in the Colonial Army, and his grandfather was a farmer in Virginia. Judge Arnyx’s father moved to Kentucky, where Matthew was born. After service in the Civil War, he settled in Ozark County, Missouri, becoming a successful farmer and judge, with a strong involvement in local politics and the Christian Church. He has had two wives and a total of nine children.
