Biographical Sketch of Nathan H. Anspach

Nathan H. Anspach was born on June 19, 1873, in Evansville, Indiana, to Herman and Rosa Kaden Anspach. He was educated in Evansville schools and married Sadie Goldsmith in Cleveland on October 25, 1898, with whom he had two sons. Anspach’s career included positions as a clerk and freight agent in various railroads, ultimately serving as chief of the tariff bureau for the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway since 1905. He was also an active member of several clubs in Cleveland, Buffalo, and Toledo.
