Peggy Arlene Nolan, 84, of La Grande, died April 11, 2009, at Evergreen Health & Rehabilitation Center.
The date of a memorial service at North Powder Cemetery will be announced later. Cremation was by Eastern Oregon Pioneer Crematory.
Peggy was born on Dec. 17, 1924, to George and Hazel Lukus Woodhams. She worked most of her life in food service as a cook and waitress.
She enjoyed knitting, handwork and painting.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Dinning of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; sister, Jean Pettigrew of Sumter, S.C.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Nolan; son, Thomas Nolan; brother Virgil Woodhams; and a sister, Dolores Funky.
