Geraldine Morris, 77, of Haines, Ore., passed away June 3, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Health Services in Baker City, Ore., with her family at her side.
Memorial services will be held later this summer in Haines and in Allentown, Penn.
Geraldine was born July 15, 1929, in Oakland, Calif., to Manual and Sophie (Bonita) Guido. She was raised in and went to school in California. While working as a telephone operator and engineer she met Ivy Morris who was also working at the same company. Even though it went against company policy, Geraldine and Ivy started dating. On March 21, 1948, the couple was married in Berkley, Calif. Together they raised three children: Keith, Scott and Ivy. The family moved all around California and back east to New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Her passion was cooking. She loved preparing meals and treats for her family and friends. Geraldine had a wonderful eye for the arts. She created wonderful painting in both oil and watercolors. She also was very artistic with her home, keeping it beautiful and inviting. She spent much of her free time sewing and quilting.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ivy Morris of Haines, Ore.; children, Keith Morris and his wife, Maria of Shingletown, Calif., Scott Morris and his wife, Nancy of Haines, Ore., and Ivy Reynolds and her husband, Dean of Allentown, Penn.; grandchildren, Jesse and his wife, Jennifer, Coady, Kyle, Justin and his wife, Lisa, Scott Jr. and his wife, April, Amand, Jamie and her husband, Nick, Sarah and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Sammuel, Emma, Jewel, Jasmine, Katelan, Cheyanne, Adin, Mason; brother, Stanley Guido and his wife, Geraldine of Roseburg, Ore.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Sophie and Manuel Guido.
Arrangements are in the care of Gray’s West & Company Pioneer Chapel.
