Came to Baker By Wagon Train
Graveside services for Leona Mather, 87, will be conducted at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Dr. J. W. Cool, Professor of Missions, Western Baptist Seminary, of Portland will officiate.
Mrs. Mather was born January 27, 1880 at Villisca, Iowa, and passed away in Portland July 9, 1967. she moved to Baker County as a small girl from Iowa by wagon train and lived in Baker most of her life until moving to Portland in 1959.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Florence Haskins of Portland and Mrs. Robert Planansky of Kewanee, Illinois; four grandchildren.
