Mrs. Hulda Masters Passes Last Evening
Had Lived In Oregon Since 1876-Funeral Sunday
Haines-(Special)-Death last evening at 6:10 visited the ranch home of Mrs. Hulda Masters west of Haines and took one of the county’s well known and old-time pioneers.
Mrs. Masters passed away Wednesday evening, March 13.
She had made her home in Oregon since 1876 and has lived on the home ranch since 1880, 55 years. She was born June 14, 1845 at Belle Center, O.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Haines Methodist Church with Rev. Coulter of the M.E. church of Baker officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Creek cemetery in the community where Mrs. Masters so long made her home.
Two children survive, Miss Mimma and Sam Masters. Her husband Augustus and two children preceded her in death. There are several nieces and nephews also surviving, and Mrs. Masters leaves many friends in the valley to mourn her passing.
