Clifford Irwin, Native Halfway
Funeral services for Clifford Irwin, 860, Halfway, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 18, at the Assembly of God Church in Halfway, with The Rev. Alva E. Wunder officiating and interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Halfway, under the direction of The Beatty Chapel.
Mr. Irwin was born July 30, 1905, at Halfway, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Irwin and attended school in Halfway where he was graduated from the Halfway High School in the class of 1923. He spent most of his working life farming in Pine valley and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Armed Forced Medical Section, at the Walla Walla, Washington Hospital in 1942.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Bessie Peterson, Halfway; his brother, Ira Irwin, Halfway; by four nieces and one nephew; eleven great nieces and five great nephews; His mother and father, and another sister, Lora Shock, preceded him in death.
