Death Claims Ruth Hoover
Ruth Louise Hoover of Wallowa passed away Sunday, March 23, 1975 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital following a short illness. The body lay in state at the Bollman Chapel Tuesday between the hours of 3 and 7 p.m. and graveside services are being held today ( Thursday ) in the Golden Gate National Cemetery at San Bruno, Calif.
Mrs. Hoover was born June 3, 1921 at Baker, daughter of Dr. H.J. and Jeanette Moncfeif.
On Aug. 19, 1938 she was married at Reno, Nev., to Jesse G. Hoover, and the couple came to Wallowa seven years ago. She was a member of Carnation Rebekah Lodge 157 of Wallowa.
Surviving are her husband, Jesse G., of Wallowa; three sons, Ronald L., San Jose, Calif., Robert N., Azusa, Calif., and Jesse George Jr. in the Army in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Judith) Sturgeon, Wallowa, Mrs. Joe (Barbara) Throop, Portland; two sisters, Mrs. D. (Dorothy) Stilz, Gilroy, Calif., and Mrs. Jack (Wilma) Stilz, San Jose, Calif.; three brothers, Andy Moncrief and Robert Moncrief, both of San Jose, Calif., and Herbert J. Moncrief, Campbrll, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
