Henry Elzy Hironimous passed away at his home in Enterprise July 12, 1940 after a lingering illness. He spent some time in Portland, returning to his home in Enterprise one month ago after it was found that there was nothing that could be done to aid him.
Henry Hironimous was born at La Grande, June 11, 1876 and spent practically all his life in Union and Wallowa counties, coming to Wallowa county when 12 years old and living here the balance of his life. He first married Emma Harper and to their union three daughters and one son was born all of who are living. They of Mrs. George Miller and Mrs. Charles Chapman of Toppenish, Wn., Mrs. George King of Bingen, Wn., and Lester Hironimous of Tacoma, Wn.
On May 11, 1925 he married Mrs. Ettie Vaughan at Sunnyside, Wn., and since that time they had made their home in Enterprise.
Mr. Hironimous had for years been a member of the Enterprise I. O. O. F. lodge which had charge of the funeral which was held Sunday, July 14, at the Booth chapel. Interment was in the Enterprise cemetery the Odd Fellows conducting the services at the grave.
