Hansen, Hargot H. Mrs. – Obituary

Margot H. Hansen, 85, of Baker City, Ore., passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006, at her home.

Memorial Services were held Saturday, July 29, 2006, at 10 a.m. at Gray’s West & Company Pioneer Chapel. Pastor Mel Harris of the First Lutheran Church officiated.

Mrs. Hansen was born on April 17, 1921, in Oslo, Norway, where she married Harold F. Hansen on Oct. 13, 1945. They came to the United States in 1957 and settled in San Leandro, Calif., where she was a homemaker. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen came to Baker City in 1980 to enjoy their retirement. Mr. Hansen passed away in 1984 and Mrs. Hansen has resided here since.

Mrs. Hansen liked to challenge her mind with puzzles and word games and especially enjoyed Norwegian crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed needle crafts and was a talented seamstress.

She is survived by her son, Knute Hansen and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hansen of Nampa, Idaho; daughter, Marit Hansen of San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren, Joseph Hansen of San Rafael, Calif., and Brian and Jennifer Hansen, both of Nampa; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Sabrina Hansen of Nampa; and two sisters, Jorun Vistung and Aase Lee both of Oslo, Norway.
