W. H. Faircloth, 89, of Huntington, died May 15, 2006 at his home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Christian Center in Huntington. Interment will be at Huntington Cemetery.
W. H. was born on June 20, 1916, at Clapham, NM. to Dudly Faircloth and Nannie Kenner Faircloth.
He graduated from high school at Clayton, N.M., in 1938. He married Annetta Lemon on April 29, 1939, at Clayton. They moved to Oregon in 1943 and then to Huntington in 1953.
W.H served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 29, 1945, to Jan. 7, 1946, serving in the South Pacific during World War II.
He was a farmer, construction worker and heavy equipment operator. He retired in 1978 from Portland Oregon Cement Co. (Ash Grove Cement) at Durkee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking, with a special interest in fishing.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
W.H. was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.
Survivors include his wife, Annetta Faircloth of Huntington; son, Harold Faircloth of Huntington; daughter, Frances Suitter of Durkee; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Thomason Funeral Home of Weiser is in charge of the arrangements.
