Services Held Saturday for Bowen Baby
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Christian Church of Enterprise for little Nancy Elaine Bowen, who passed away at the Enterprise hospital Thursday morning. Re. Paul O. Kroon of Lostine had charge of the services and Mrs. Helen Kay sang “Precious Jewels” and “Little Baby’s Gone to sleep.” Burial was in the Wallowa cemetery.
Nancy Elaine Bowen, baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bowen of Leap, was born at the Enterprise hospital June 14, 1948, and passed away October 22, 1949 at the same hospital where she had spent her entire life, struggling vainly to live, and where everything possible was done to save her life. Leaving to mourn her untimely passing are her father and mother; one brother, Russell Glenn; three sisters, Shirley Lee, Hazel Darlene and Sandra Sue; and two grandmothers, Mrs. Peter Bowen, of Lostine and Mrs. Hazel Lathrop of Wallowa.
