Sergt., Btry A, 30th Div., 113th F. A.; of Jones County; son of Becton and Martha Simmons; husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Simmons. Entered service Aug. 5, 1917, at Pollocksville. Sent to Camp Sevier, S. C. Transferred to Camp Mills. Sailed for France May 26, 1918. Fought at all battles with 113th. Returned to USA March 18, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Jackson March 28, 1919.
