Oct. 5, 1917; Sergt., Nov. 11, 1917; 1st Sergt., July 11, 1918. Was commissioned 2nd Lt. April 23, 1919. Sailed for France July 31, 1918. Stationed at St. Die Sector from Sept. 29 to Oct. 6, 1918; then went to Officers’ Tr. School, Langres, France, Oct. 8, 1918. Rejoined his company Feb. 10, 1919. Returned to USA June 30, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Gordon, Ga., July 23, 1919.
