Ovid Bee Newspaper

A History of Lodi New York Newspapers

A History of Lodi New York Newspapers is actually quite brief, as there was only one paper ever published within Lodi that we’re aware of. It was a monthly newspaper which appears to have only put out a few issues at best, probably no more then 1 years worth. It is obvious that Lodi has never gone without a newspaper, just that the newspaper wasn’t published within it’s town limits, and as a result doesn’t appear on this page. To view other towns in Seneca County New York as well as county wide publications which likely would have genealogical records concerning Lodi residents, view a History of the Seneca County New York Press.

The Seneca Live Oak, 1864-18??

This monthly newspaper was published by J. M. & L. C. Galloup. It likely discontinued publication shortly after the Aug 1864 issue as most monthly’s lasted only for a short time in publication in Seneca County.
