Sarah Coday Moreland Findley was born January 8, 1862 and died at her home west of town October 18, 1937 at the age of 75 years. She first married Francis Moreland and to this union were born 8 children, 2 of whom, Ira and Ollie, preceded her in death. After this husband’s death, she married Rev. Charles Findley who also preceded her in death. Survivors are 4 sons, Lee and Charles of Hartville, Tom and William of Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Rosa Hensley and Bertha Adamson of Hartville. William Elmer Fuson: eldest son of Jonathan A. and Martha Jane Fuson was born July 21, 1873 on a farm in the Little Creek community and died May 2, 1948 in Hartville. He made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Little Creek Baptist Church. After moving to Hartville, he placed his membership with the Hartville Baptist Church. John William Womack, son of Jacob and Lurreene Bougher Womack, was born in Unionville, Missouri, He, and a cousin Crawford Womack, made an early trip into Wallowa Valley, camping along Bear Creek. During the night their horses wandered away from camp and were found the next morning at what is now the town site of Wallowa. They both returned again in 1877, when they both filed on homesteads.
