Athapascans Indian Clans, Bands and Gens

Many tribes have sub-tribes, bands, gens, clans and phratry.  Often very little information is known or they no longer exist.  We have included them here to provide more information about the tribes.

Deer Skins. Apparently a division of the northern Athapascans, as they are mentioned as belonging to a group including the Beaver Hunters, Flatside Dogs (Thlingchadinne), and Slaves. Smet, Oregon Missions, 164, 1847.
