The funeral of the late Mr. WC Twadell was held on Saturday afternoon, May 22, from the United church, Vermilion, when a large gathering attended to pay their respects to their departed friend and neighbor. The service was conducted by the Rev. L.G Sieber who spoke feelingly of Mr. Twaddell as he had known him on his visits to the home. Interment was made in the Vermllion cemetery.
The deceased was born on March 14, 1863 in Murser County, Missouri USA. and moved with his parents to the state of Oregon at the age of two years. On Nov. 18th, 1890, he was united in marriage to Lula A. Stockham of Joseph, Ore. In 1913, Mr. Twaddell and his family came to Canada, settling on as homestead at Loverna, Sask. They later moved to Vanesti district where they lived at the time of Mr. Twaddell’s death.
He leaves to mourn his loss his sorrowing widow and six chilfdren, John of Vanesti, Alberta; Orvel, Stevenston, BC; Eber, Glendale, Calif; Mrs. Ida Bancroft, Northport, Wash; Mrs. Mae Moxley and Mrs. Naomi Dupler, both of Pasco, Wash; Also, two brothers, Burel of Vanesti and James of Portland, Oregon.
The pall-bearers were W. Elliott, H. Elliott, D. Gerber, C. Stevens, S. Benner, C. Hutchinson.
Funeral arrangements were under direction of Waring’s funeral home.
