Memorial Services For Mrs.Terry
Mrs. B.C. (Frances) Terry of Lostine passed away at her home Monday morning, June 17, 1974. She had been in ill health.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1896 in Green City, Mo., daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Rhoads. On Jan. 12, 1916 she was married at Eugene to B.C. Terry and the couple had lived in Wallowa County since 1917. They had recently moved to Lostine from a farm up South Fork. She was a member of the Stitch and Chatter Club.
Survivors include her husband, B.C. Terry; three sons, Clifford of Elgin, Wallace of Ravalli, Mont., and Lawrence of Lostine; one daughter, Mrs. John (Rena) Freels, Enterprise; Two sisters, Mrs. Neal (Mary M.) Rouse, Green City, Mo., and Mrs. G.W. (Laura) Harlan, Flagstaff, Ariz.; one brother, Theodore Rhoads, of Kirksville, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren and 14, great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were yesterday (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at the Bollman Chapel with the Rev. Joe Jewett officiating. Jeanette Powers was organist and Clifford Collingsworth sang; “The Last Mile Of The Way” and “Nearer My God To Thee”.
Honorary pallbearers were her many friends and casket bearers were: Lawrence Rowe, Oscar Shafer, William Cook, Lyle Cherry, Milo Sasser and Myrle Zollman. Vault internment was in the Enterprise Cemetery.
