Pearson, Leona – Obituary
Leona June Pearson, 75, of La Grande, passed away at home on October 8, 2009, surrounded by family. Born on July 28, 1934, in Worley, Idaho, she was married to Garnet Black and later to Benjamin F. Pearson. Leona had a varied career, working in several restaurants and owning a boutique, and retired as a cook at the Union County Jail in 1999. An avid bowler and devoted grandmother, she is survived by numerous children, grandchildren, and siblings.
