Barbara Jean Bowman Monaghan, 77, passed away on April 9, 2004, in Aurora, Illinois, surrounded by family. Born on June 28, 1926, in Spokane, Washington, she was the daughter of Roland and Vera Clarke Bowman. She married Bernard R. Monaghan in 1943 and lived in North Powder and Hermiston before moving to Illinois. Barbara was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her warmth and adventurous spirit. A memorial service is scheduled for June 26, 2004, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church.
