Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Keener she was born in Virginia November 3, 1864. She was married to Horace J. Butler in 1880 in the state of Kansas, and they came to Wallowa County in the 90’s, living here since. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Ettie Virginia Arnold of Enterprise died at the University of Oregon Medical Center in Portland on April 21, 1989. She was born April 20, 1921, at West Jefferson, N. C., the daughter of Jesse and Nellie Lewis. On Aug. 5, 1939 she married Quincy A. Arnold at Mount City, Tenn. The Arnold family moved to Enterprise in 1972. She was a homemaker and a member of the Flat Grove Baptist Church. Marjorie Della (Reece) Frasolas, was born May 5, 1900. She died at the Umatilla hospital on March 24, 1975 at the age of 74. Mrs. Frasolas was a resident in the Hermiston Umatilla area since 1936. She was a member of the Auxiliary and the Pocahontas. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Elgin for Mrs. Philanda Bechtel, who passed away Wednesday, March 5, 1941 at the home of a son, Joe Bechtel, of Wallowa. She was born in Sullivan County, Missouri in 1856 and had spent the greater part of her life in the Elgin community. Her husband passed away many years ago. Charles O. Forthman died May 12, 2007, at the Jonathan M. Wainwright Veterans Administration Medical Center in Walla Walla, Wash. He was 85. Mr. Forthman was born in a log house April 21, 1922, in Flora to William T. and Margery M. Ager Forthman. In 1940 he went to National Youth Association School in Pendleton for mechanics in heavy equipment and truck driving. In 1943 he attended five weeks of school for heavy equipment and truck driving. W.B. Bach Passes Away at La Grande W. B. Bach died at La Grande at 3:15 this morning. He failed to recover from a second operation for appendicitis. He went to La grande two weeks ago and submitted to an operation and it was realized at that time that he was in serious condition. When he was 12 his parents brought him over the Oregon Trail to Union County. In 1876 he moved to Linn County near Lebanon and there, on May 10, 1878 he married Maria Hare.
