La Grande, Oregon Doris Arlene Baxter, 76, of La Grande died Aug. 27 at a local care center. Viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Loveland Funeral Home, 1508 Fourth St. The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the LDS Chapel in Union. Burial will follow at the Union Cemetery. Enterprise, Wallowa county, Oregon Mrs. Neva May Botts 66, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Hospital after suffering a heart attack outside the Lewiston Eagles Hall at 1304 Main St. She had just emerged from the lodge hall with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bull when she slumped to the sidewalk. She was rushed to the hospital, where a doctor and Wilfred J Duclos, Nez Perce County coroner pronounced her dead at 1:37 A.M. . Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon John Anderson, who had lived in Enterprise nearly two years, died Sunday evening at the home of Chris Bauer, a degeneration of the heart and blood vessels caused death. Burial was in Enterprise Cemetery Monday afternoon. Until a month ago, Mr. Anderson lived at the hotel Enterprise. Mr. G.T. Fairchild received the sad news last Friday evening that his son, Lewis, had died at 6:45 that morning in a hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Mr. Fairchild left Wallowa a few days before Christmas for a visit to his old home in Tenn. He stopped a few days in Colorado and got as far on his way as Memphis.
