Henry Bowman, who resides in Talma, died Monday [August 25, 1903] afternoon at 2 o’clock. He had been suffering with dropsy, along with the effects of old age, for the past 9 months and the end was not unexpected. Mr. Bowman came to the little town of Talma from Fremont, Ohio, about forty-five years ago and engaged in the milling business for a number of years until his health failed. Bowman, Aaron L. – Obituary

Dr. Aaron L. Bowman, 40, died at his home in Talma Wednesday morning [July 5, 1916], after a year’s illness, a victim of cancer of the brain. He leaves a wife, Lily, two children, Emery and Eldora May, and a brother, Albert, all of Talma. Two brothers are dead. Dr. Bowman was born in Fulton County June 19th, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bowman, both deceased. He had long practiced at Talma and was well known in this neighborhood.
