Lulu D. Lu Ferguson, 81, of Selah, passed away on July 3, 1984, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Born on November 12, 1902, in Surgoinsville, Tennessee, she was raised in Ellensburg, graduating from high school in 1921. Married to Lester J. Ferguson in 1924, they moved to Yakima in 1932, where she worked as a bookkeeper. Active in business organizations, she leaves behind a daughter, a sister, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Private family services were held.

Hayes, Ruby Miles – Obituary

Ruby Hayes, aged 90, passed away on February 21, 1992, in Ellensburg. Born on December 2, 1901, in Surgoinsville, Tennessee, she moved to Washington at six and later farmed for over 50 years with her husband, Harry, before relocating to Ellensburg in 1972. Ruby is survived by three sons, three daughters, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband and several family members. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Ellensburg, with burial at High Valley Cemetery.
