Margaret Emma Thompson, born January 2, 1849, in Fort Gibson, married Clark Charlesworth Lipe on August 29, 1873. They had several children, including Howard, Herman, and John. Clark Sr. was active in local governance, serving as Clerk of Cooweescoowee District and Clerk of the Council. After his passing in 1901, Margaret successfully managed a stock farm near Sageeyah on their homestead established in 1876. Her life reflects her family’s contributions to the community and the resilience of women in that era.
